COVID-19 Information for Jackson R-2 Families

Academics

The district is implementing continuous learning opportunities for all students. Preschool and elementary teachers will use regular electronic communications through Seesaw or Google Classroom to engage our students in activities and learning. Our goal is to provide face to face interactions between teachers and students through technology. Students K-4 should have picked up their iPad or Chromebooks, including a charger, school supplies, and/or a packet of supplemental learning materials from their buildings by this time. If you have not, please email your building principal or call 243-9501.

Fifth through twelfth-grade students will complete assignments primarily through Canvas. Teachers will began contacting students on Friday, March 20th, and started posting assignments on Monday, March 23rd. Please continue to check your email. We have designated specific days for each content area.

  • Monday- Math
  • Tuesday- English, FACS
  • Wednesday- Science, AG, and IT
  • Thursday- Social Studies/Business
  • Friday- Fine Arts, Foreign Language, PE/Health

Advisory teachers will also be contacting their students to answer questions and ensure they have any needed resources. Students, if you are having issues with Canvas, please email Danna Bruns at dbruns@jr2mail.org

If your 5th-12th grade student is currently without a Chromebook, contact Jason Bruns or call 243-9501. If your student is in need of Chromebook repair, please email Jason Bruns at jbruns@jr2mail.org to make arrangements.
